Graham graduated from East Carolina University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in accounting. In addition to his client audit and tax responsibilities, he serves as the Managing Partner for the firm

Graham joined the firm in 1981 and since then has worked with a wide variety of small and mid-market, privately held companies and individuals in the areas of audit, accounting, taxation, merger and acquisitions, management advisory services and personal financial planning. He has in-depth experience in commercial construction contractors and subcontractors, residential home builders and real estate, manufacturing and distribution, auto dealerships, retail, professional service industries, medical practices, estates, trusts and ERISA audits for retirement plans.

Graham concentrates his practice in serving family owned and investor backed companies and has demonstrated his ability to help these companies grow, maximize shareholder value, mature and be successfully transferred to other family members, management groups or outside investors.

Graham has been a partner with the firm since 1988 and is an active member of the American Institute of Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, Raleigh chapters of the Construction Financial Management Association, Wake County Estate Planning Council and Church of the Good Shepherd. He has also served as Board Member and Treasurer of the Raleigh Jaycees, Miss North Carolina Pageant and the Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen.

Paul graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in accounting. After working for a large regional firm in Atlanta for three years, Paul relocated to Raleigh and joined the firm in 1988. Paul was named a partner in the firm in 1995.

Paul has experience working with a broad variety of small to mid-sized organizations and individuals in the areas of accounting, auditing, tax planning and compliance as well as business advisory services. Business sectors that Paul has served include not-for-profit organizations, insurance industry entities, ERISA retirement and health benefit plans, retail and service companies, medical practices, commercial construction contractors and subcontractors, manufacturing, wholesalers, real estate, and auto dealerships.

Paul concentrates his practice in providing services to professional and trade organizations and public charities, and is qualified and proficient in performing A-133 Single Audits. Paul has both authored published articles and presented seminars on issues pertinent to not-for-profit organizations.

Paul also focuses his efforts in serving insurance industry entities, including mutual insurance companies, self insured funds, voluntary employees’ beneficiary associations, and third party administrators. Paul has extensive experience in the preparation and review of statutory and regulatory filings submitted to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the North Carolina Department of Insurance.

Paul is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), including a leadership role on the Not-for-Profit committee of NCACPA. Paul’s other memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association Executives of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Center for Non-Profits. Paul is also an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh and also has served as President and Treasurer of the International Affairs Council.

Chris graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a concentration in accounting. He has nineteen years of public accounting experience and was named a partner in the firm in 2000.

Chris has experience working with a variety of small to mid-sized companies, organizations and individuals in the areas of auditing, accounting, tax planning and preparation, mergers and acquisitions as well as business advisory services. Business industries that Chris has served include not-for-profit organizations, commercial and residential contractors and subcontractors, real estate, wholesale retail, professional service companies, trade associations and real estate.

Chris concentrates his practice in providing services to family owned businesses, not-for profit organizations and is proficient in performing A-133 Single Audits. He has written articles and presented seminars on issues relating to these groups. In 2003, Chris was awarded the designation of "Certified Fraud Examiner". This designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners signifies that he has met the rigorous requirements for the designation and that he has additional training for the detection and deterrence of fraud.

Chris is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is involved in community service projects and has served as chairman of the finance committee for Asbury United Methodist Church and treasurer for Wheels4Hope in Raleigh.

Lindy graduated from North Carolina State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting degree. He joined the firm that year and was named a partner in the firm in 2004.

Lindy has experience working with a variety of small to mid-sized companies, organizations and individuals in the areas of auditing, accounting, tax planning and preparation as well as business advisory services. Business industries that Lindy has served include not-for-profit organizations, insurance industry entities including mutual insurance companies, self insured funds and third party administrators, retail, professional service companies and real estate.

Lindy concentrates his practice in providing services to professional and trade organizations and public charities, and is proficient in performing A-133 Single Audits. Lindy focuses on looking beyond the numbers to spotlight trends and issues that help management plan for a more successful future and has made many presentations to these groups.

Lindy is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, attends First Baptist Church in Smithfield and has served in the Jaycees and as Treasurer of St Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Lowell graduated from East Carolina University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a concentration in accounting. In addition to his client audit and tax responsibilities, Lowell serves as Partner in charge of the Consulting Group and Practice Development for the firm.

Lowell joined the firm in 2009 as a partner and for the past twenty six years has worked in public accounting with a wide variety of mid-market , privately held companies and individuals in the areas of business improvement and profit enhancement consulting, audit and accounting, taxation, merger and acquisitions, strategic and succession planning, management advisory services and personal financial planning. He has developed an in-depth understanding of services for construction contractors and subcontractors, real estate developers, manufacturing and distribution, health care, professional service companies and ERISA audits for retirement plans. Prior to this, he worked in international accounting and finance for The Wall Street Journal, a Fortune 500 Company owned by Dow Jones and Company.

In 1999, Lowell was the first in North Carolina to be designated as a Certified Profit Enhancement Consultant (CPEC) by the Institute of Profit Advisors. The Institute is a national organization dedicated to training it’s business improvement consultants how to work with businesses to enhance profits, empower and train employees to be responsible for constantly improving their organization, promote efficiency in a company’s core business processes and increase its shareholder and stakeholder value. Lowell’s designation certifies that he has demonstrated his ability as a business and profit improvement coach in the areas listed above and has completed rigorous training designed to help businesses increase profits and shareholder value. He has worked with many businesses using this process to help reach their goals, solve problems that have been unsolved for years and unlock hidden profits.

Lowell is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Profit Advisors, and AICPA’s Tax planning and Advising for Closely Held Business Certificate program. David graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 with a Masters of Accounting. Prior to joining Koonce, Wooten, and Haywood, LLP in 2011, David spent over twelve years working for Big Four, Regional, and local accounting firms. He also spent three years working for a public telecom company.

David provides accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and fiduciaries. His expertise includes working with closely held businesses, not for profit organizations, churches, governmental entities including A-133 audits, employee benefit plan audits, tax information compliance. He services clients in the non-profit, mortgage, construction, real estate, low income housing, retail, professional services, trade associations, and local government industries.

He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of Providence Baptist Church.
