Chris
graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a
concentration in accounting. He has
nineteen years of public accounting experience and was named a partner in the
firm in 2000.
Chris has
experience working with a variety of small to mid-sized companies, organizations
and individuals in the areas of auditing, accounting, tax planning and
preparation, mergers and acquisitions as well as business advisory services.
Business industries that Chris has served include not-for-profit
organizations, commercial and residential contractors and subcontractors, real
estate, wholesale retail, professional service companies, trade associations and
real estate.
Chris
concentrates his practice in providing services to family owned businesses,
not-for profit organizations and is proficient in performing A-133 Single
Audits. He has written articles and
presented seminars on issues relating to these groups.
In 2003, Chris was awarded the designation of "Certified Fraud Examiner".
This designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
signifies that he has met the rigorous requirements for the designation and that
he has additional training for the detection and deterrence of fraud.
Chris is a
member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is involved in community service projects and has served as chairman
of the finance committee for Asbury United Methodist Church and treasurer for
Wheels4Hope in Raleigh.
